E is for...

Today Addie ate E toast with a side of eggs. We decorated eggs, colored her E paper, read An Extraordinary Egg, and of course we kicked it off with a treasure hunt for the letter of the day! I've also been playing her little video clips from a wonderful website, I used in the classroom. Love starfall.com!

Happy Second Birthday Bug!

 On this very special morning you and your mama headed down to Starbucks for a special treat. I watched you saunter in behind me with your little purse, filled with all the things you thought a purse should have. You sat like such a big girl drinking your juice and eating your pink donut, while you tried to engage the patrons in a game of peek-a-boo. I wish I had brought my camera that morning, but I surely didn't forget it later that evening, when we took you to your first movie and then to dinner and ice cream at Fenton's Ice Cream Parlor.

We love-a-love-a-you Addelyn and had a great day celebrating the best day of our lives...your birthday! 

Going to see Cars 2, you're first Disney movie!

You were a little nervous walking into the dark, loud theater.

Daddy brought you popcorn, then the previews started and this is how you sat all the way through the trailers and about 50% through the movie. 

For about the next 25% of the movie you wanted to bounce back and forth in between our laps and for the very last quarter, we just called it good and left. Not too bad, for your first movie!
