grammy comes to visit!

We got to have Grammy come stay with us for a long weekend! I don't think I took hardly any pics! Mom if you have some better ones, send them my way! Thank you for coming! We love you!
We made a little stop at the zoo on our way to pick Grammy up. I neglected to check the zoo hours, so when we showed up the zoo was practically closed but one of the workers let us in anyways. It was almost magical. We had the whole zoo to ourselves!
Addie became Grammy's personal shopper while at the outlet malls.
And Mom and I got to sneak out for wine tasting and live music! It was a great time!

preschool friends

It's been fun watching Addie make friends at preschool. At the moment I think her favorite friend is Elizabeth, who you see here in the picture. During a little break from preschool, a few of us mom's got together for a playdate at the park. I'm so grateful for our little community at PEP Preschool.
Elizabeth and Addie sharing an apple.
This is Elizabeth's little sister, Kaitlyn. Just happened to catch her and Liam playing in the sand together.
Group picture!

to the beach!

We got out of town and enjoyed Bodega Bay for the day! It couldn't have been more perfect!

shenanigans

This boy is always up to something and for the most part, we love all the laughs that come with it!

And I'll leave you with this one...

ballet

After much deliberation, we decided we'd switch Addie to a different dance studio closer to home. It's an all ballet studio (no tap or jazz) and Addie seems to really enjoy it. We recently found out that she will be a little blue bird in the studio's upcoming performance of Sleeping Beauty. She is ecstatic! The performances will be on June 7th and 8th. We will be sure to purchase video and take lots of pictures for those who can't come see it live!

valentines day 2014

Another good year of celebrating love in the Widmer home...
Addie and Liam woke up to a little treat from us and a card from Auntie Pam. It came a little early but I made them wait until Valentine's Day to open. The suspense was killing Addie! I think she was most excited about this! Then later that day we found more Valentine's from Gramma Jody and Grandpa Bill!

Chocolate for breakfast on Valentine's Day?! Why not!
Here's Addie's 2014 Valentine's for her class.
In the jars we put Annie's Bunny Grahams, Ghirardelli Chocolate Chips and mini marshmallows for her teachers. For her friends I semi-designed and printed out a "You're UH-maze-ing!" Valentine and Addie wrote her name. Then we stuck a pencil through them and added some fruit snacks!
And Kevin and I got to go out on a date twice in the month of February! That's pretty good for us! Life is good!

funderland

For Christmas, my cousin Kyle and his wife Linsey gave our kids money for Funderland. It was such a great gift and the kids had a blast! Here's the proof!

Thank you again Kyle and Linsey!

Dear Blog

Dear Blog,

valentine's mini session

In celebration of opening up shop, I offered a Valentine's mini session. It was a fun weekend and I'm absolutely loving this! Here's some of my favs...

noro virus

It's hit again, but miraculously Addie was the only one affected. She's had symptoms which started last Sunday and went all the way to the following Saturday. She gets hit so hard.
Today she yelled from the bathroom (scaring Kevin and I), "Mom and Dad come see what happened to my poop!!!" She was so relieved and excited to no longer have diarrhea. Poor bug.

superhero cuffs

Silly mom, those aren't velcro rollers...those are superhero cuffs!

quiet moments

Yes, it was quiet. I was busing working on my photography website and Kevin was watching the 49er game, when we realized it was too quiet. This was why...
That is his momma's lipstick clutched in his hands. Needless, to say I wasn't sad about the loss of this color of lipstick.
Make-up artist trying a new look or camo face-paint in preparation to hunt an exotic animal?
Don't be fooled. That's T-R-O-U-B-L-E right there!
As you can imagine, the quiet was followed by lots of laughter!
