brother and sister

As I was putting away laundry, Liam crawled into sister's room and here's what I got to see next. Love.

jump highway

We had a nice Sunday date with our friend's the Linnet's! Addie and Skylar get along so well and have missed each other. Here are some blurry pictures of the these two buddies in action!
wall to wall trampolines!
Skylar is using his big muscles to pull Addie out!
Waiting their turn!
Liam got some loving from Crystal!

tap shoes and friends

After much deliberation between ballet and a tap/jazz combo class, we've decided on the tap/jazz combo class with friends Allie and Paige! This meant that she was going to need some shiny, new tap shoes!  So we met the Hulbert girls for lunch and then got fitted for some fun, clickety-clackety tap shoes! Her recital will be the last weekend in June, if anyone wants to come see her make her first debut!
Just one of the many fun girly things brother will get to endure!

crawlin,' clappin' and laughin'

so thankful for a place to put these videos, as I know they will only get more precious with time...

three and a half

Our sweet baby girl is three and a half! Addie Ann you are such a smart, creative and lively little girl! We love every bit of you, even your irrational and emotional side that likes to come out every now and then. You still love your books and your room is overflowing with them! Most recently, you've started to learn to read some of the words on the pages! You love to create and write, and our home is filled with things you've made with much enthusiasm. You are a great sister, as I knew you'd be! You've given Liam nicknames such as, "Budders" and "Lammy." You are doing great in your dance class and although some mornings you are not always excited about preschool, you still walk right in and eagerly take part in the morning's activities. You've definitely caught the princess fever but still like to pull out Daddy's old Legos and your train set to play with. In fact you are out in the garage helping Daddy with a project as I write this. Addelyn, I am so proud of you and feel so blessed to be your mama! Happy Half Birthday Baby Girl!

nine months

Can it be true?! You are almost one years old!!! Liam James we love you so much! You have been growing so much lately and we are so proud of you! In the last month you have...

  • gotten your first tooth and we are baffled that the second one is no where in sight!
  • you weigh almost 23 pounds (77th) and are 2 feet 6 inches (86th) tall.
  • you're sleeping in your own crib, in your own bedroom and for the most part you have started sleeping through the night
  • I love reading to you before I put you down for naps and I'm pretty sure you are taking after your sister and loving it too!
  • you love your baths!
  • you are doing so good eating all kinds of solid foods, especially french fries!
  • you can say, "mamama" when you are reaching for me but I can never get you to repeat it. Not sure if it counts as a first word, but it sure melts my heart to hear it.
  • you have officially started crawling and you love to crawl into sister's room to play.
  • you are happiest though, upright and "walking" around holding our fingers for balance...I don't think it will be long before you are walking on your own.
We love the continued smiles and giggles you give to us so easily. Our life is so incredible rich with your presence Liam James!

sciencetopia

Auntie Pam got us such a fabulous Christmas gift! A gift card to a children's science museum!!! There was activities for Addie and Liam to do. So last Sunday we headed over to Napa to spend our morning at Sciencetopia! Thank you Auntie Pam!

addie and her princess bike

Addelyn has been wanting a princess bike for quite some time now and I just had to keep telling her, "maybe Santa will bring you one!" When we started shopping for one (so we could put the correct one on the list for Santa) I asked her about all sorts of bikes...bikes with flowers, plain pink bikes, but none would do unless it was a princess bike. So a princess bike is what we (I mean Santa) got her! And can you believe the helmet?! Could it be any more perfect?!

She's taking to it pretty good! We have to play the red light, green light game quite a bit so she can get the hang of putting on the brakes.

ringing in the new year!

2013 was brought in with lots of laughter and joy! Here's the evidence...
We had a great dinner at Mazzi's! (We were actually at the very same table where we shared with our family that we were having a boy!)
My sweet babies.
We got a good chuckle out of this picture!
So much so that Addie wanted one too!
We did a little Facetiming with Brent, Leeanne and the boys!

Later that night we taught Addie how to play a quarters and dice game, Left Center Right. She loved an caught right on!
She was thrilled when we'd cheer for her!
And she actually won one of the games!
Later that night she stayed up with us until the ball dropped. We'll leave out some other details of the night! Hee! Hee! Happy 2013!
