Baby Boy We Can't Wait To Meet You

I'm 28 weeks now and we decided to get another peek at this baby boy before he makes his appearance, so we had a 3D ultasound this weekend! They didn't turn out as clear as Addie's did (click here to see hers), and we think this was due to the placement of my placenta. The probe had to go through many layers to get a view of baby boy.

Still we got to view his chubby cheeks and his feet that were up crossed by his head the entire time! He was (and still is I think) transverse, meaning side to side in my tummy, which is fine for now. He still has a couple of months to start heading down!

Anyways, too fun! I could look at these pictures forever! (The last one is of his flexed feet.)

Sacramento Children's Museum

Addie and I ventured out to a new museum this last week! We had a great day!

A Beautiful Day

This weekend was gorgeous! We had a great lazy Sunday playing at not one, but two parks! She was a happy little girl, especially when she was swinging. I told her stories of how she loved her infant swing and used to sleep in it. It brought back memories of Kevin and I occasionally putting the swing in our room at night, just so she would sleep. We've heard people tell stories about getting in their car and driving around, for us, it was the swing.

After my stories and about 20 minutes of pushing from both Kevin and I, I asked her if she would like to go down the slides. Her reply... "No Mama, no slides. I swinging. No talking Mama. Shhhh." Oh boy, are we in trouble! It's so hard keep a straight face and correct her when she says stuff like that!

26 weeks

Today I was stopped by a man who said, "you must be having a boy!" Amazing how people can do that! I guess they do have a 50/50 chance of getting it right. He also told me to give him some instruments and let him be and that he was going to have rhythm. Hmmm...we'll see about that but it certainly is fun to think of all the possibilities though. Will he have red hair like his sister? Brown eyes like his Daddy or blue-green like mine? Will he be tender-hearted or rough-and-tumble or maybe a good combination of both? Will he take to sports or be more musical and artsy? Can't wait to hold this little boy and learn all about him!

LEGOS!!!

Yesterday, while Addie was playing quietly in her room, I decided I best sit down and start thinking about work again. As soon as I made my first phone call, I hear "LEGOS!!!" repeatedly. She was standing in our laundry room yelling for me to get the Legos out of the garage. Luckily Kevin walked through the door shortly after.
Addelyn couldn't have been happier, she loves playing with the Legos that her Daddy has saved for her all these years. He was so excited the first time he brought them out to play with her. It makes my heart swell with love for him. He is such a good Daddy to our little girl.

Here Comes 2012!

We had a sweet little New Years Eve. We took Addie to her second movie in the theater (Alvin and the Chipmunks, the only g-rated movie playing) and had dinner at Red Robin (kid-friendly and no wait). On the way home Addelyn fell fast asleep, so after transferring her to her bed,  Kevin and I cozied in on the couch and watched another movie. Before we knew it, it was time to watch the ball drop and poor Dick Clark announce the new year.

In my last year's post, I wondered if 2011 could possibly live up to 2010 and it sure did. I am so grateful for another year of health and happiness. Now onto a life changing 2012; the year we get to meet our baby boy!

We wish you all a wonderful 2012!
A goofy cell phone pic at the movies. I think Addie was just about to put some popcorn in her mouth!
