soccer saturdays

We are looking forward to our Saturdays out at the soccer fields with these two for the next couple of months! (And Duck football of course.) Liam was over-the-moon to finally be able old enough to play. Well he was almost old enough...I might have fudged his date of birth a tad to make him three and a half. On the way there, Kevin and I giggled that he might be the youngest but he'll probably be the biggest and well the first picture says it all! Hee! Hee!

Addie is doing great too! I love seeing her hustle up and down the field and the pride in her face when she makes a goal! We always remind her that we want her to do HER best and to have fun and she's exceeding our expectations! We are so proud of her!
Ummm...no he's not four! Ha! Ha!
A little distracted by the snow cone truck and it's happy Hawaiian music.
Thanks a lot snow cone truck! ; )

Happy boy!

liam's first year of preschool!

Our boy is at PEP this year for the 3 year old morning class, the same preschool we dropped sister off at for two years. He has been so excited, there were no tears and he walked right in and knew what to do. We adore this preschool and know he will learn lots and be well taken care of!

The little guy in this picture was in his mommy's tummy the same time Liam was in mine. His mom and I would see each other throughout town with our oldest kids and then we just so happened to take a tour of a hospital at the very same time when we were pregnant with these two. And now here we are at preschool!

addie's first day of 1st grade

It was such a bittersweet morning taking our girl to her first day at ACE charter school. She's so brave and took it all in like a champ! I am so proud of her! From what we've heard she got one of the best teachers, Mrs. Thomas and this year she'll be in a 1st/2nd grade blended class, which will be perfect for her! I can't wait to hear about all of the new friends she will make and the new experiences she will have! We love you Addelyn Ann.

love that perfect 1st grade smile!

Showing Mrs. Thomas her special charm bracelet I got her for school.
And this is her teacher, Mrs. Thomas! I think she's pretty cool too and can't wait to teach some reading groups for her!
Addie with buddy, Harbor. Harbor and Addie went to preschool together and sat on the wait list all last year for ACE. Now they get to be in the same class again!
There she goes. Oh my heart! Yes, there were tears streaming down my face at this point (and maybe while writing this too).
One last picture of her in her classroom.

a first grader and a preschooler

I will miss having my babies home with me and homeschooling them but that was Plan B for our family and we are so excited that Plan A is now a realty! On August 13th, Addie had her first day as a first grader at ACE (Alternative Cooperative Education) Charter School in Vacaville! And on September 8th, Liam will be off to preschool at PEP (Addie's old preschool)!
