I is for...

I was so excited for letter I because I found this incredible ice cream unit at spelloutloud.com! It was complete with a sorting mat (teaching hot versus cold), matching shapes activity, an activity to teach the order of big to small, and my favorite...ice painting! I mixed food coloring with water and laid toothpicks in the ice trays (to serve as a handle), froze them overnight and in the morning Addie and I ice painted! Later we made our own ice cream, which turned much better than I expected.

I also thought I'd take a little video of what keeps me motivated each day.
